The Phantom of the Opera

Don't know why I didn't start this topic sooner.
Anyway, if you've never heard of it, POTO is quite possibly (okay, it is) my favorite musical of all time. It's also probably one of the most well-known ones, written by Andrew Lloyd Webber, 'wright'er of Jesus Christ Superstar and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. It sports an amazing soundtrack, and if you think I mean musicals in the same vein as Guys and Dolls or Singin' in the Rain (don't get me wrong, those are amazing), you need to see this. And yes, it's dramatic, very dramatic, but also very funny.
If you have seen it, which performances do you prefer? I like the Royal Albert Hall performance and the 2004 movie version (although, if you don't understand the characters beforehand, the movie can be confusing).

My browser history and I go way back. B)
