Re: My school is NOT, NOT, NOT Normal

LAPTOPZ FTW

That's pretty much the only good thing coming out of it. Anything else is just glum and blah.

"A regular Friday audience, 90 percent feminine and 100 percent well-bred, sat stoically yesterday through thirty minutes of the most cacophonous world premiere ever heard here - the first performance anywhere of a new Violin Concerto by Arnold Schoenberg. Yesterday's piece combines the best sound effects of a hen yard at feeding time, a brisk morning in Chinatown and practice hour at a busy music conservatory. The effect on the vast majority of hearers is that of a lecture on the fourth dimension delivered in Chinese." -An anonymous Philadelphia Record reviewer, on Schoenberg's Op. 36 Violin Concerto.

Re: My school is NOT, NOT, NOT Normal

I has no friends at school next year. I hope i can be transferred :(

Here's the crowds at my school:
Popular Boys
The Jocks
The Middle (where i am, and is pretty much the best crowd)
Normal girls
Popular girls

Here we go.

Popular Boys
-Does not get along with The Middle and Normal Girls
-Likes COD, Rap music, and SPORTS.
-Usually takes band and a technology class
-Watches all the adult cartoons (family guy, south park, etc.)

The Jocks
-Sometimes gets along with the middle, sometimes not (not in my case, i HATE jocks.)
-Also usually takes technology classes and band
-Most like gym alot (duh)
-Always wears nike shirts and sneakers
-Reads Diary Of A Wimpy Kid  (i have no idea they just do, and i HATE Diary Of A Wimpy Kid, it's offensive to me and has awful characters)

The Middle
-Gets along with the Normal Girls, gets along horribly with the popular crowd.
-Jocks,Popular Boys,Popular girls, make fun of them
-Gets good grades
-Electives are scattered.

Normal Girls
-Very artistic
-Generally really quiet
-Excellent grades
-Takes orchestra
-Usually nice
- HATES jocks,and popular people

Popular Girls (THE WORST GROUP)
-Jerks to People like me
-Texting
-Their facebook pages are littered with dumb selfies
-Takes band, with one of these 3: Art,Theater, or Home Ec.
-Gets along with the Jocks and Popular boys

Also, there was a rumor going around at the start of 6th grade that i wore little kid's underwear. Not fun

Re: My school is NOT, NOT, NOT Normal

I would be stuck in the middle.
That means you, right?
Also, I saw my teachers on a website for my school. I got all advanced classes, and I'm starting with Music for my first humanities course. I'll get to choose my clubs about a.month after school starts.
Best of luck, CY! :)

Re: My school is NOT, NOT, NOT Normal

Good Luck! (You may need it. It's hard being the new kid. Trust me.)

As for those groups mentioned previously, I'd probably have been in none of those. Probably just an outcast. (Like I was in Junior High.)

You know what this reminds me of? My school. One of the rules was "Be proud to be a _________" (The blank being whatever mascot represented the school, because I really don't remember.)

That rule got me sent to the principal's office about 35 times. 20 of which were because I tried to bring to everypony's attention how stupid of a rule that was, and the other 15 were because of disregard of the rule.

Another really stupid one was "Don't question/speak out against the administration".
The really stupid thing about that rule is that the school actually encouraged advocacy. Just not against them. :|
This rule was the real cause of the 20 instances of going to the principal's office for bringing the prior rule to the attention of the public.

I totally wish I could have gone to your school just for a day while you still attended and wreak havoc against it.
Just for one day.

Re: My school is NOT, NOT, NOT Normal

Oh... I still have more to say here. :trixieleft:

The students were classed and at my school like so (Sometimes more than one class applied to a student):

Idiots (70% of all students, except Legitimate Intellectuals):
The most common type of student, somehow some of them even made it into the magnet program. :facehoof:

Bullies (40% of all students):
These students obtain joy from harming others, obviously. However, the "bullies are insecure" theory almost never applies here. Most of them are too dumb to realize they're not as well off as others, and those who are smart enough to realize never take it into consideration.

The Norm (20% of all students, except Bullies):
These students are quite rational, despite the fact that some of them are complete idiots. However, they're usually quite shifty, and follow no pattern as to who they're loyal to, and as such they're likely to betray you.

Legitimate Intellectuals (Me, Isaac, and a few others):
Essentially anypony who's worthy of the title "friend" to any capacity.

Computer Geeks (Me):
Walks into class bleeding and bruised about 40% of the time. :X

Populars (Everypony except the Legitimate Intellectuals):
  Need I say it?

Non-whites (80% of all students):
Less likely to be beaten up at any given point in time. Trust me, I kid you not. This was really the case. D:

Re: My school is NOT, NOT, NOT Normal

Well, this is bad. My freedom from the hell that is public school is coming to an end at the beginning of next semester. Hopefully I can rally the students to follow me in revolt if things get dire, or something like that, because really. My Elementary school teachers were nice, and the ones from Junior High were horrible... I can only wonder what lies beyond the gates of High school.

Re: My school is NOT, NOT, NOT Normal

So back to school is doing a happen.

Yeah, i got transferred last year, and my new school is pretty good, honestly. It took some getting used too. We're pretty much the least bad as it gets when it comes to the middle schools in my district; the other 3 aren't the best, and i actually think the one i used to go to was the worst of the all. My school took some getting used to, but when i get used to it, it isn't all too bad. My other middle school was older by like 7 years, but for some reason, my new one feels older. Dosen't mean it's bad, though.

Anywho, we've got some annoying students. Every middle school has annoying students. Anyways, let's talk about some of them, shall we?

I'll be splitting them into 2 sections; Boys and Girls.

Let's get cracking!

Boys:
Richie- Typical, immature kid. He goes out of his way to convince me that i'm gay. He's just immature all around. He thinks because i watch MLP i'm instantly gay and will live in my mom's house when i'm 40. He thinks he's "cool"  because he watches Family Guy, South Park, etc and always acts like he's mentally challenged or something, flailing his arms around and squealing trying to be funny, while also shouting "THAT'S RACIST!" and other stupid crap. I heard his mom is apparently the nurse at the elementary school i went to. Strange.

Jeremy (how ironic is it that i'm listening to "Jeremy" by Pearl Jam, but whatever)- Annoying. He's Richie's little comrad and thinks i'm like mentally retarded or something. Just straight up annoying and thinks he's cool because he plays lacrosse.

E (Not using real name, because i can.)-  Kid from my old school and one of the biggest jerks i've ever met. You know how pathetic you are when you get pushed down the school gym bleachers in front of your crush and injure your leg. Not very fun.

S (yes, this kid has a very distinct and uncommon name, and Jeremy and Richie are pretty common names.)- Straight up annoying kid. Tries to act cool in lol-worthy ways. Kthxbai.
