That kinda makes sense, since he's technically you, just with an exaggerated portion of your personality---from what I've seen, mostly anger.:derpy:

Re: Tulpas/Tulpae

Several updates:

Day Before Yesterday:
Solar has finished his war with the crows, and has allied with them to take down the locusts.
Venus has been studying how to summon locusts into the mindscape.

Yesterday:
Solar is still at war with the locusts, and his treaty with the crows has broken again. Figures.

This Morning:
Solar is no longer at war with the locusts or the crows. He has emerged victorious, and it only took 4 weeks.

I made a new tulpa a while ago named Hydreigon. He's - well - a Hydreigon.
I'll be using black for his comments.

Re: Tulpas/Tulpae

Interesting.
Pony hypnosis seems to be accelerating Misty's development. I can tell she really wants to be able to speak.

"A regular Friday audience, 90 percent feminine and 100 percent well-bred, sat stoically yesterday through thirty minutes of the most cacophonous world premiere ever heard here - the first performance anywhere of a new Violin Concerto by Arnold Schoenberg. Yesterday's piece combines the best sound effects of a hen yard at feeding time, a brisk morning in Chinatown and practice hour at a busy music conservatory. The effect on the vast majority of hearers is that of a lecture on the fourth dimension delivered in Chinese." -An anonymous Philadelphia Record reviewer, on Schoenberg's Op. 36 Violin Concerto.

How helpful. You know that most of us are probably using themes that make the text black by default, right?

Re: Tulpas/Tulpae

Here's the ponycode for Eliza's current appearance. She told me to put it up in image form, but I don't have the ability to post images right now.

Code:

3D2S000100C1C234FFC49D00001D38826UN183700000000210B5A41FFF7FFF1T107F3FCC004CB2

The main reason I'm putting this up is because her old image (Post #21 in this topic) is outdated by quite a bit.

There, I doubt it's right, though. The string length was 79 characters instead of 78. Did something repeat or anything like that? Anyway.

It's right. For some reason when you post a code into the ponymaker it puts a line break after it, and it counts that as a character in the code. :?

Re: Tulpas/Tulpae

I have begun trying to tulpaforce. I will not reveal the form of my tulpa at this point, because it may change/he may want to change it [hopefully Chris does not reveal it just cause I wanna make sure I only reveal it if the tulpa likes it. :P] I have first tried creating a wonder scape. All my efforts to visualize him, give him personality, and all that jazz fell flat because my house is SO LOUD.
Maybe it's because my hearing is above average, but every single thing bothered me and I couldn't concentrate. Do you have any tips?

We are often asked the questions: How much does a new resin bound driveway cost? And how long does it take to install?
In answer to the first question; Surprisingly less than most of our customers think. Prices start from £39 per square meter, for a basic finish to a prepared site.
There can be other factors, such as remedial repair and preparation to the site to ensure that your new resin drive or resin path will look beautiful for years to come. For a full and complete quotation we offer a Free site survey. Our friendly staff will visit at a time that suits you and carry out a full survey and assessment. From there we can discuss with you the resin and aggregate options, finish details and any bespoke requirements for your new permeable paving solution. There are lots of stock aggregate options which can be viewed here.
So how long will it take to install a new resin driveway? Usually, only 48 Hours. On day 1 we concentrate on clearing (as required) the site and preparation. Bound resin paving is not only durable but also decorative, like all decorative finishes, preparation is key to a beautiful job and customer satisfaction. We will meticulously prepare your site before starting to lay the new resin surface.
Day 2, is the day we normally begin to lay the new resin aggregate surface. When the new surface is laid, we will ensure that all rubbish and debris is cleared from the site so you can enjoy your new path or drive. That’s it! no hassle and no fuss.
If you would like any more details or information please feel free to call our friendly staff on 01202 805866 or click here for the online enquiry form.

A tulpa is very similar, but not the same thing.

An Imaginary friend does something simply because you imagined it doing that.
A tulpa, however, does something of its own free will.

Don't call me crazy yet.

Tulpae are like alternate personalities, but they're constantly active.

An imaginary friend is gone unless you focus on it. A tulpa is ALWAYS active.

This doesn't mean you'll always see them though. You only see them when you impose them.

A tulpa can have any form of its liking or your own, but it will sometimes change by the tulpa's will.

This didn't help, CN?

Ive heart the analogy of "partitioning you brain like an HDD" but two partitions dont run at the same time.
If this was true, to support a "similar entity" with even more clusters of neurons, that would result in bodily energy consumption for cognition to exceed 13w, correct?
That would mean you are dead.
Which you aren't.
You would've had to make yourself less intelligent to do that, which I simply don't believe.
Concious reassignment of neurons?
Really?
I just dunno.
The only explanation that I can come up with is a culmination of a couple psychological "effects" I have studied.
I can recommend some good pscology reads if you'd like!
